Our Private Lessons Faculty are professional musicians who hold advanced music performance degrees on their respective instruments, and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching and performance. Many of our Private Lessons Faculty also teach masterclasses for our program during the school year, where they work with all of the students in a small sectional setting.

Enrolling in private lessons allow students to receive one-on-one instruction that is tailored to meet their individual needs. Students enrolled in private lessons typically find greater chances of success in their band placement, All-Region/All-State Auditions, Solo/Ensemble Contests, and other individual competitive events.

A majority of the students in the Elkins Band program are enrolled in private lessons. Although they are not required, they are highly encouraged! If you are interested, please contact the teacher for your student’s respective instrument using the email listed above.
